A Letter from the Alumni Board President
Dear Tepper School Alumni,
I’m excited to share a few updates and opportunities to stay engaged with our community.
First, I invite you to visit our Alumni Community site. It’s a central place to share updates and celebrate alumni news — whether it’s a new role, a personal milestone, or a project you’re passionate about. It’s a great way to stay connected and highlight the many ways our alumni are making an impact.
I’m also pleased to welcome two new members to the Alumni Board: Laura Goldberg (IM 1989) and Shivi Shankaran (MBA 2005). Both bring valuable experience and a fresh perspective, and I look forward to the ideas and energy they’ll contribute as we continue to strengthen our alumni network.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for the next Tepper School Alumni Reunion from April 30th to May 2nd 2026. Reunions are always a special time to reconnect with classmates and experience the energy of campus life. I hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a meaningful and enjoyable gathering.
Finally, nominations are open for the Tepper School Alumni Awards. These awards recognize alumni for their outstanding accomplishments, leadership, and service. If you know a fellow alumnus whose impact deserves recognition, please take a few moments to submit a nomination. Your involvement ensures that we celebrate the very best of our community.
Thank you for being such an important part of the Tepper School community. Together, we make the Tepper School network strong.
Warm regards,
Carol Scott

The Tepper School of Business is pleased to announce several updates to the Alumni Board, including the appointment of a new board president and the addition of two accomplished alumni as members.
Carol Scott (MSIA 1996) has officially assumed the role of Alumni Board President as of July 1. She succeeds Robert DeAngelis (MSIA 1985), whose leadership and service have been instrumental to the board’s continued success.
As the former Chief Information Officer at Graham Packaging, Scott led enterprise-wide initiatives focused on digital transformation, operational efficiency, and aligning IT strategy with business outcomes. A pragmatic and forward-thinking leader, she brings a proven track record of building high-performing teams and delivering measurable results across complex organizations. Prior to joining Graham Packaging, she was a managing director in PwC’s consulting practice, where she focused on industrial products clients.
Scott has been an active member of the Alumni Board for many years, most recently leading the Alumni Awards Committee
“The Alumni Board plays an important role in strengthening the connection between alumni and the school, and ultimately, we want alumni to see themselves as part of the Tepper School’s ongoing success,” Scott said. “When we help alumni feel valued, heard, and connected, we build a stronger and more engaged community that benefits everyone, from prospective students to seasoned alumni.”

Joining the board this year are two new members: Laura Goldberg (BS 1989), Chief Marketing Officer at Auctane, and Shivi Shankaran (MBA 2005), co-founder and CEO of Fortune Stream Ventures.
Goldberg brings decades of experience as an operationally driven marketing executive. At Auctane, a global shipping platform, she oversees a broad portfolio that includes acquisition, lifecycle marketing, analytics, brand development, content strategy, PR, and more. She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Shivi Shankaran is one of the world’s leading authorities on returns and reverse logistics. Previously serving in roles with Saks off 5th and Amazon, he has strategically scaled organizations through exponential growth using technology advancements, process re-engineering, and people development to create a best-in-class customer experience. Shankaran holds degrees in engineering, computer science, and business.
“We are excited to welcome Carol, Laura, and Shivi to their new roles on the Alumni Board,” said Laura Herr, Senior Director, Development and Alumni Engagement. “Their professional experience, strategic insight, and dedication to the Tepper School community will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen alumni engagement and foster meaningful connections across the globe.”
Formed in 2008, the Tepper School Alumni Board is composed of passionate and engaged alumni from across the world who are committed to advancing the interests of the school’s global alumni community. The board serves a strategic advisory role to the Tepper School and the Alumni Relations team, acting as a bridge between alumni and the broader school community.
