The Tepper School of Business has alumni groups around the United States and abroad to provide social, networking and professional development opportunities for current and future alumni. A few chapter leaders are sharing the latest happenings in their area of the Tepper School Network. Visit the alumni map to see a global representation of the entire community.
Our volunteer committee has been meeting regularly to plan an event calendar that brings together the Tepper School network in Washington. This fall, Swetha, MBA/HNZ ’09, and Zach Arbuckle, MBA ’10, hosted a party in their home for the DC Tepper School chapter. We enjoyed bringing together fellow alumni, ranging from the Class of 1964 to the Class of 2014, and a few current students. We’re looking forward to a Summer Welcome Event at the home of ❊ Damon Vaccaro, MBA ’04, and ❊ Angel Hollis Vaccaro, MBA ’04. The committee has arranged casual happy hours and is working on additional educational, social and cultural events for the rest of 2016. If you’re in the DC area, look for emails from our local chapter email address (email@example.com) and send your ideas our way. We’d love to hear from you!

The San Francisco Bay Area is one of the most rapidly growing Tepper School alumni communities. As more Tepper School alumni arrive in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley region, we are looking to ramp up our activities and strengthen our community. We warmly welcomed interns and new grads at receptions at the homes of ❊ Mark Levy, MSIA ’94, and Mark Mesler, MBA ’01. Our annual wine tasting in Napa at ❊ Bart O’Brien’s, MSIA ’81, vineyard is one of our largest events, and we hope you will consider joining us in July! In January, we hosted over 100 Tepper School students on their annual trek at our companies as well as at alumni events ranging from a happy hour in San Francisco to an engaging fireside chat with Dean Dammon, ❊ Jim Swartz, MSIA ’66, and ❊ Dave Mawhinney, MSIA ’90, at VMware. We also organized a student and alumni reception and alumni panel at the Los Altos Golf and Country Club hosted by Jean Mou, spouse of Tepper School alumnus and CMU Trustee ❊ Yoshiaki Fujimori, MSIA ’81. We shared academic insights at a lunch with Prof. Allan Meltzer in Palo Alto hosted by John Lindgren, MSIA ’93, and Keith Furuya, MSIA ’93. We networked at happy hours across the region organized by Alumni Board members ❊ Lee Diamond, MBA ’05, and ❊ Michael Hermeston, MBA ’08. Come join our alumni committee, and we can do even more!
