This fall’s iteration of Carnegie Mellon’s biannual startup showcase, LaunchCMU, held special significance for the university community as it marked the official inauguration of the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship. This center was made possible by a $31 million donation from esteemed venture capitalist Jim Swartz, MSIA ’66, who shared his vision for the center at the Oct. 25 event.
